Jason Baer | President and CEO of PTP Franchise, LLC Jason Baer President and CEO of PTP Franchise, LLC

Jason Baer, Personal Training Professionals (PTP) founder and owner-operator, started the business to meet the growing demand for personal training. Since it’s unveiling; Mr. Baer and his company are proud to say they have served thousands of clients with various health-related services since 1998. Mr. Baer earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University and is AFAA certified in personal training and weight room instruction. In addition, he is a member of the Certified Coaches Association of Connecticut. Mr. Baer received the 2006 National Leadership Award as the Honorary Chairman to the Business Advisory Council and is an Honored Member of the United Who’s Who among Executives and Professionals. His contribution to the fitness industry and reputation among his peers are his proudest achievements. Mr. Baer feels there are many talented individuals waiting to reach their potential and he is excited to share this unique opportunity.

Kristen Caron | VP of Finance and Business Administration/CPT Kristen Caron VP of Finance and Business Administration / CPT

Kristen has been a part of PTP since its inception in 1998. Kristen is VP of Finance and Business Administration for PTP Franchise and is acting Manager at our affiliate, PTP-New Canaan. Kristen is AFAA Certified for personal training and weight room instruction as well as CPR. She has extensive experience in working with a variety of client populations including youth, geriatric and the chronically ill. Before her career in personal training, Kristen was formally educated in business and finance and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Business Administration from Sacred Heart University. Her interest in fitness and her desire to help others achieve their personal best is what drew Kristen to the personal training profession.

In addition to her personal training expertise, Kristen performs all of the financial operations at PTP including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and financial reporting. This combination of talents has made Kristen an indispensable member of the PTP team.

Michael Scappaticci | CPT Michael Scappaticci CPT

Michael Scappaticci brings personal training experience in designing and implementing proper fitness regimens for clients with wide-ranging issues and needs. He is well versed in advising clients on methods to improve their overall lifestyle through nutritional, occupational, and daily living activity changes. Michael holds two degrees, from SUNY Cortland and SUNY Cobleskill. He is ACE certified and trained in adult CPR.

Barbara Schmidt | Registered Dietitian, MS, CDN Barbara Schmidt Registered Dietitian, MS, CDN

Barbara Schmidt, Registered Dietitian, CDN is a Nutrition Consultant for Personal Training Professionals and a Nutrition Lifestyle Specialists for Norwalk Hospital. She has also done work with The New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center, NYU Medical Center and the American Fitness Institute. Barbara provides medical nutrition therapy to include the treatment of coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, eating disorders and weight control. She also works with a number of local health departments in Connecticut designing and teaching programs in such topics as: feeding our children better, women’s nutrition issues and reducing dietary fat and cholesterol in our diets. Barbara believes that a healthy balance and approach to any nutrition program is the formula for success.
